Here are the top 4 stories in Huntington today:

  2. First Annual Family Pride Picnic in Huntington on Sunday. The event will take place at Mill Damn Park and will run from 1-4 p.m.“We are excited to throw the first of what will hopefully be many Family Pride Picnics, said event founders Eric and Jim Rubin Perez. “We want to bring the whole community together, not just to celebrate LGBTQ+ pride, but to recognize the beauty and importance of family and show that Huntington embraces diversity.” (Huntington Patch)
  3. The Huntington couple create a survey to solve emergency rental assistance issues. June and Lance Margolin created the “New York State Residential Landlord & ERAP Survey” to gather information from other landlords who have tenants who have applied for housing assistance in New York State.. “New York State’s Emergency Rental Assistance Program Badly Facilitated
(ERAP) has allowed our tenant to hold our own home hostage for the past 7 months, the latest chapter in a nearly 2-year nightmare of missing rent, manipulation, violence and crushing expense,” said writes the Margolins. (Huntington Patch)
