Fred Malcolm Stubblefield, 76, a resident of McMinnville and a native of Warren County, was born June 4, 1946 and died July 22 at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro following a long illness.
A Vietnamese United States Army veteran, he was the son of the late Robert Glenn and Otelia Sinks Stubblefield.
Mr. Stubblefield is survived by two sons, Gary Lee (Elisabeth) Stubblefield of Chattanooga and Jim Bob (Michelle) Stubblefield of McMinnville, a daughter Shawna Stubblefield Partin of McMinnville, eight grandchildren, Hunter, Logan, Keenan, Fawn, Spencer , Orion, Telia and Sophia, three great-grandchildren, Mason, Colt and Sarah, two brothers Jessie Robert Stubblefield and Larry Edward Stubblefield, both of McMinnville, nephews, Steven Stubblefield and Matthew Stubblefield, both of McMinnville, and nieces , Sandra Lyle and Amanda Johnson, both of McMinnville.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, July 25 at High’s Chapel with Ryan Crips officiating. Interment will follow at Smyrna Cemetery in Warren County. Visiting hours will be Sunday from 5-9 p.m. and Monday from 10 a.m. until service time at High’s. All military honors will be administered by the Tennessee Army National Guard Military Funeral Honor Guard, American Legion Post 173 and VFW Post 5064.
